Bassoon Repad |
|
A bassoon repad consists of
replacing all the pads and regulating the instrument to insure
proper closure and sealing of pads. Instrument will be cleaned
and polished and the bocal cork will be replaced. Tenons will be
rewrapped or recorked as needed. Bore will be oiled if needed.
Any replacement springs or bocal dents will be extra based on
the shop rate |

Bassoon Overhaul |
|
The highest level of mechanical work for the bassoon.
Includes all steps in a repad as well as replacement of the
u-bend gasket and all springs. Instrument will be cleaned and
polished. Hinge rods will be polished to improve key motion. Any
endplay between the rods
and posts will be adjusted to ensure a tight fit. Tone holes
will be addressed as needed. The bore will be oiled if needed.
All tenons will be recorked or rewrapped based on the players’
preference. Any dents in the bocal will be removed and the bocal
cork will be replaced |
